The Logistics and Technology department is responsible for the basic administration of technology, buildings and housekeeping within the Fire and Rescue Service of the state capital Schwerin. The technical department is responsible for ensuring that fire fighting vehicles, fire fighting equipment and fire fighting protective equipment are in good working order, in good working order and properly maintained in accordance with safety regulations. It ensures that the emergency services can rely on the highest level of safety and reliability of fire department technology in all operational situations. The logistics department works closely with all other specialist groups of the fire and rescue service and forms an important interface to the rest of the city administration of the state capital Schwerin. Logistics is responsible for budgeting and financial planning, inventories including controlling and invoicing rescue services to social service providers. All budgetary, cash and accounting processes as well as classic administrative tasks are coordinated here. Furthermore, the planning and coordination of new buildings, renovations and conversions or repairs and modernizations of buildings that are the responsibility of the Fire and Rescue Services department is carried out.
