The traffic planning division is responsible for:

• Preliminary planning for the construction of roads
• Preliminary planning for bike lanes and bike protection lanes
• Detailed studies on traffic safety and traffic flows in the urban area (e.g. pedestrian routing, parking, traffic calming)
• Responsible for local public transport (ÖPNV)
• Traffic planning support for development plans and larger construction projects
