Enforcement is the task of the City Treasury Department as the municipal enforcement authority. It is responsible for the enforcement of the city's own monetary claims, but also for the enforcement of third parties' monetary claims under public law by way of enforcement assistance in the city area. The enforcement officers of the City Treasury are authorized, for example, to conduct searches and seizures of property of debtors. Among other things, the enforcement authority issues garnishment and transfer orders on debt garnishments or summons debtors to provide information on their assets to disclose their personal and financial circumstances. All decisions directly affect debtors of our city or third parties.
